I have thought the UX research, UX strategy, and UX design have a linear relationship. However, UX research could span a much broader range since the knowledge required for a strategy and design is not limited to product UX. It should be open to various fields, including usability, design, business, trend, etc. Hence we need to take a step back from the point like “I’ll change the product through my research outcome.”

We have to be very intimate with uncertainty. The research itself is taking a transparent approach, but we should understand its purpose is very uncertain. Dealing with uncertainty is difficult, but at the same time, we must admit that we are the people who can manage uncertainty with visible something.
